I can't even tell you how excited I am to introduce our first guest blogger - Alison Gold!
Alison is a bride-to-be AND a Registered Dietitian, so I couldn't think of anyone more suited to bring you tons of inspiring, helpful, and realistic advice on how to lose weight, or just get your healthy back, especially as you plan your wedding. I for one, am super excited! We both agree that this kind of information is invaluable and with so much bad and unhealthy diet advice out there, it's tough to know what to believe. I promise you, Alison will not steer you wrong! Here she is with her fiance, Kevin and their adorable dog, Ozzy! Oh yeah, and those drop-dead-gorgeous blue pumps? They belong to her - she will be debuting them at her May wedding - how much do you love them?
Alison just finished her Master's in Public Health from UNC - Chapel Hill (congrats, woman!), and as a Registered Dietitian has worked in many, many different types of places - from a hospital, to a state department of health, to a community health center, and is now working full time for the health center in prenatal and medical nutrition. She also occasionally does classes on diabetes and pediatric obesity.
And, as if she wasn't busy enough, she's planning a wedding and contributing to her shoe addiction along the way. She loves Penn State, even though she's terrible at remembering to watch football games and go back for visits, and she is completely passionate about nutrition and helping people lose weight the right way.
